Joe Zanoni

Joe Zanoni joined American Continental Group in 2019 as an Associate bringing with him a diverse legal, political, and policy background. His areas of expertise include sports law, telecom, antitrust, election law and other issues related to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees.

Before joining ACG, Joe served as a Law Clerk for the House Judiciary Committee, playing an integral role in the Post-PASPA hearing: An Examination of Sports Betting in America. Joe advised members on conflicting federal and state law affecting state-legalized sports betting. He further provided recommendations for a legislative remedy. During his time with the committee, Joe also assisted in advancing legislation in the areas of public health and safety, criminal justice reform, and homeland security. Additionally, Joe brings federal oversight experience to ACG from when he served as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. While in that role he facilitated various investigations of agencies that retaliated against whistle blowers. His work helped identify and remedy federal wrongdoing, including gross mismanagement, waste of funds, and abuse of authority.

Joe also brings with him public and private experience at the state level. Joe supported both Judges and Staff Attorneys as a law clerk for the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings (OSAH). During his time at OSAH, he assisted the Governor's Court Reform Council by highlighting potential areas of reform for the administrative courts of Georgia. In the private sector, Joe gained experience in the telecom industry as a Summer Intern for Comcast's Central Division Government Affairs Team.

Mr. Zanoni earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia and received his B.A. from the University of Arizona, graduating cum laude.
